well, me mum was a public health nurse lookin' after clients with infants and she had seen a lot of baby penises and she figured that she knew what she wanted her first born son's equipment to look like...

What's wrong with having your penis slightly desensitised? You last longer, and your partner gets more "stimulation time".  Same thing as those that put nutmeg or cocaine on their glans.

what happens when they stitch yer unit after circumcision an then ye get an erection?...do ye pull the stitches? I pulled the stitches on the incision on my back after a cyst removal once and the wound filled with gelatinous coagulated blood...imagine that happenin' to yer wiener...ewwww....

It's a trade off  instead of killing your first born son.  Just finished reading The Bible Is History where it is stated  Abraham introduced  it as a way to appease the right wing Canaanites  who insisted upon adhering to the  religious practice of  child  sacrifice.  Thought to be about 2000-1800 BC but by no means an  established date.

 These are the same folk who brought us  the only one god dogma, and of course,  male only.

It was the beginning of the end of Earth Mother worship.

I don't know about a bit of foreskin being a substitute for a whole baby....sounds incredible to me.

 

What I read years ago was the idea that circumcision came about because theses desert dwellers found fine grains of sand that got in there to be very irritating.

It's not hard tp imagine that after a few infections led to the cutting off of the infected part, the practice became a preventative measure.
