And to get the ball rolling!

The Ranthai Restaurant on Korat's, No2 KhonKaen bypass road, takes some beating for an inexpensive midday or evening meal.

It has a big Pepsi sign and tables are overlooking a ?fish pond and bandstand.

Its near the Chinese Temple "Kuan I'm" and on the same side of the road in the Ban KhokWua area if you look at your Map of Nakhon Ratchasima.

Child friendly, it serves Thai food and the menu is in Thai but has photos to help.

Half the fun is not knowing what you are going to get.

Tom Yum Goong is a good standby.

Or try

Baked Mussels (Hoi Ob)

Seafood Salad (Yum Talay)

Fried Prawn ( Goong Tod )

Fried Chicken ( Ayam Goreng)

If you like your Curry hot

try Southern Hot Curry (Kang Tai Pla) (Shrimp)

Bar-B-Q Beef (Nua Yang Namtok)

Vegetable soup on the side? (Jub Chai)

Bon Appetit.

PS

No need for the Wet wipes so far Loz!

I will second that .

Nice place , nice views , good food and the kids can play in a little area just for them . At night they have different bands playing in the bandstand in the middle of the pond . A nice evening was had by all .
