danone Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 just checked with local TV channels. the state banquett will start at 7.30pm and be shown until 10pm on all channels. and then there will be the news bulletin. they "regret" to not to be able to show south korea vs. togo. perhaps we can make it for the france - swiss game. if its a question about life and death for you - better start looking for a satellite transmission.
Jai Dee Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Just before any complaints start flooding in, I will remind everyone of part of the Forum Rules: No disrespect of the King of Thailand or The Thai Royal Family! Discussion of topics concerning the King or other current or deceased members of the Thai Royal Family is forbidden. Spit the Dog Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 There might not be a game anyway as the Togo players are still in dispute over players bonus payments. The players were threatening to go on strike if they didn't receive their payments. The Togo manager quit during the row and was then set to return after being offered his job back. Nobody knows if he is coming back or not.
danone Posted June 13, 2006 Author Posted June 13, 2006 he's back. at least for this game. but thanks for the comforting thought of maybe not missing anything ... anyway, which pubs in bkk have satellite english transmissions? robin hood? gulliver's?
Spit the Dog Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 The Robin Hood has the Astro satellite. But the way things have been going, I can't guarentee if they will show the match tonight. If no success in The RH, then you can always try The Londoner or The Dubliner as they are close by too.
britmaveric Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Well could be worse - england could be playing and it was pre-empted. Toga/Skorea, not exactly a wanting to see match.
lampard10 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I take it this is part of the ' Every minute of every match live on Thai TV' promotion.
Old Croc Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 The South Korean team have wished Australia well in future WC games. They still revere the coach, Guus Hiddink, who took them so far in the last WC. They are dedicating their game against Togo tonight to Guus.
Galong Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 It's on Super Sports 3 right now with English language commentary.
