Perhaps he should issue a complaint against the Police for dereliction of duty, having failed to take him into custody to serve his prison sentence...!!

No, Prompong is the Spokesperson for the PTP who was found guilty of libel and awarded a 12-month non-suspended custodial sentence, and yet still walks free...!

Prompong's suggestion of a video-conference is highly suspect, because video-conferences can of course be recorded, edited, and distributed. It only begs trouble. And the narrative of Prompong and Pheu Thai has been so vicious to the EC ( threatening prison, no less ) that it hardly engenders trust. The dynamic seems to be Pheu Thai experimenting with just how far they can go and how just how far they can threaten. They clearly don't recognize any limits to the bullying. It's really rather incredible, and one has to pinch oneself as to how commonplace it has become for Pheu Thai to bully, threaten prison, threaten treason - the only buffer Pheu Thai has from the West is that they don't take a greater interest in this, because if they did, they'd be truly appalled. The EC has two very good points - the question of Niwattumrong's legitimacy, and the question of whether an election postponement is possible to be included in a decree, lest February 2 happens all over again. Only the Constitutional Court can settle this, and the sooner they're petitioned the better.

A better idea than a video conference would be to broadcast it live on ALL TV and radio channels simultaneously so that the whole nation can look and/or listen to it live. After that make 1 certified copy of the master tape and lock the master tape away somewhere safe like the Privy Council or the Royal household. From the copy of the master tape they can make as many copies as they wish. That way nobody can argue that the tapes have been faked.

Make sure that ALL the interested parties turn up for the debate with NO excuses. If you dun't turn up then you CANNOT contest the next election no matter which party you are or even who your Daddy is.

When did the EC threaten TV stations? I never noticed any media reports about that.

Also, what does the fact that Megan Young from the Philippines is Miss World have to do with the situation in Thailand? Are you trying to claim that she is really Thai or something? Or do you think that Thaksin had something to do with her winning? Very confused here.

My question. Why is the PTP so insistent on a video conference instead of a face to face meeting? Makes me think they have some ulterior motive. Maybe so they can have other parties participate without the public seeing?

Miss Thailand did not want half the country executed or banished, as half the country are NOT red shirts. There are maybe 10,000 red shirts nationwide and that accounts for 1 in 6,800... very few PT voters are red shirts and in fact hate their guts in most cases. So stop lying by fudging the figures to a massive extent.

Man of State merely 'and humbly' requested the military to have a look at a proposal to seek royal advice, they even went as far as to explicitly state that they were happy if it was rejected, and was only an opinion.... I don't recall them tacking on the end of their statement that everyone opposing their view should be destroyed. Another crazy embellishment from you that is quite bizarre.

My friend just got here from the UK, he has no idea what is going on in Thailand. The world's media are anything but focusing on Thailand and its problems. As a matter of fact, I have all the UK mainstream channels here and the only mention Thailand gets is alongside a news report on a children's book reaching its 50th anniversary 'Mother Duck Goes To The Fair'... or something like that.
