Criminal Court issues arrest warrant against UDD leader Jatuporn

Jatuporn should produce evidence that Abhisit ordered the killing of red shirts.

Well, the DSI thought there is sufficient evidence on which to base murder charges against Abhisit. Why does this not suffice?

Every time there is a murder reported here at TV and someone is charged, people talk of the accused as if he's already been found guilty. Are all those posters liable to be charged with defamation also?

The Attorney General decided on the prosecution, not the DSI.

BANGKOK - Thailand's attorney general has decided to prosecute former premier Abhisit Vejjajiva and his ex-deputy on murder charges related to a bloody crackdown on anti-government protests in 2010, officials said Monday.

Abhisit, who is now the opposition leader, and his former deputy Suthep Thaugsuban ordered security forces to reclaim areas of the capital and allowed authorities to use arms, said Nanthasak Poonsuk, a spokesman for the attorney general's office.

"Evidence shows that their orders caused others to carry out murder and attempted murder as charged," Nanthasak told reporters.

The case will now be referred to a criminal court which will decide whether to put the pair on trial.

http://news.asiaone.com/news/asia/ex-thai-pm-abhisit-faces-indictment-over-protest-crackdown

and the Court accepted the case as one that should go to trial.

"The Attorney General decided on the prosecution, not the DSI."

From the Nation: "Tarit said the DSI investigators, prosecutors and police agreed that the probe related to the victims had been completed and that the cases could now be submitted to court."

Regardless, my assertion was that the DSI "thought there was sufficient evidence..." ... it does not matter which body 'decided to prosecute' based on that evidence.

But if it makes you happy ... I will add that the AG and the DSI thought the evidence was sufficient to justify charges. That simply strengthens my argument. Thank-you.

It makes no difference to your argument. Neither the DSI or the AG are charging Abhisit because he "ordered the army to kill red shirts".

When will the hypocrisy end, a POS like Suthep walks around free yet, the courts have the ability to go after this guy. Funny how Martial Law is in affect when the red shirts want to protest but not while the killers are protesting.

So the mod has talk more seriously during their protests when are they all going to be in front of the courts? Oh wait that's right you can take over airports as long as you are on that side but if the other side, "the poor" side steps out of line even for a second, its off with their heads and they are evil.

Poor farmers hold the largest voting block in the country so lets make them suffer even more, to make sure they stop voting for the ONLY party that has ever helped them. Talk about modern day slavery.

One more time double standard.

The Royalists committed dozens of crimes since 2006 (no need to mention them again) => still at large and even making more troubles in the country (i.e. Suthep).

Some guy like this Jatuporn just spoke against a criminal and he should be in jail?

By the way, this is EXCELLENT => the proof that the justice is always on the side of the aristocracy against the population.

Continue like that and there will be no more aristocracy soon.

As a Newbie I gather you have spent a lot of time getting up to speed on the situation and on the political players in Thailand?

Furthermore Abhisit has been accused of a crime but not even PTP during their time in government had the audacity to push for a court hearing. Therefore he and anyone else that has not been convicted is innocent until proven otherwise. Maybe the country you come from does not operate that basic right?

Jutaporn was convicted and is out on bail and breaking the conditions imposed on him too.

It also appears that you do not understand the words aristocracy or population. Maybe a good idea would be to consult the OED before posting garbage.

As someone so seasoned as yourself you would think with your great wisdom you would have been able to comprehend a simple post.

I mean really?

"Aristocracy": is a form of government in which power is in the hands of a small, privileged, ruling class.

But you have proven your inability to comprehend a simplistic of term like "Aristocracy" that Enzo used correctly.

The point of the post is that no one on the Royalists side can be charged in order to be convicted, because of the audacity to even consider pressing charges on them is considered unbelievable. Which it has been since Thaksin has been coupe out, you would think with your knowledge on all the players that you would be able to grasp such a simple little "fact"

Have you thought about your own post?

"Abhisit has been accused of a crime" but yet he still hasn't even gone to court. Now Yingluck became PM "after" him and did her time and has been removed as PM by the courts.

The same courts that can't seem to bring Abhisit to trial, on murder charges for 80+ demonstrators. If you can't see your hypocrisy here then let me know and I will draw it in crayons for you.

Maybe you should take a look at yourself before posting such garbage.

Some Red moron mentioned this in a previous post :

" Abhisit was in charge as PM of the military puppet government and ordered the violent crackdown on the protesters and also tried to stop the amnesty bill "

=> What was he supposed to do in your opinion ? To let return that Dubai convicted gangster to Thailand with his hands washed in "dirty" innocence mud ??? coffee1.gif

wow some people like to change Thai history

Abhisit was in charge as PM why?

be cause he got the highest number of votes from Elected Mps sitting in the house

The way every democratic government does

The people do not elect the PM the majority of MPS do

If you read history you will se he waited and waited for the protest to stop, and in the end ws told by the Thai people to do something

In all other countries the red shirt would have been forecably moved long before Abhist decided to do so

Under international law, the army and parliment are not responisble for any deaths during the uprises or a civil riot

You need to read you insurance policy

Thailand's true democracy,

The courts have issued arrest warrants for Suthep. It's the police that haven't acted on them.

He probably has a legitimate concern over his safety. There must be a solution. I know, what he should say is, "No, I'm not coming, I have to cripple the country with protests first". It worked for Suthep....

Jatuporn’s lawyer, Mr Banyat Chartmontri, told the court that his client was afraid to show up for fear of his safety and, therefore, he asked the court for the hearing to be postponed.

555, afraid? with the thugs at his side and all the weapons?

So, he has gone to court. He has attended everything that has been required of him.

Jatuporn didn't attend a required session, so an arrest warrant was issued. Suthep didn't attend required sessions, so arrest warrants were issued.

Tell me where the double standards are?

There's too much mud slinging at each other on TV, we all have our own views on Thailand's chronic political situation, but let's not slag each other off eh. I know there are a lot of Thai's on TV who like to stoke up the rhetoric for their side, but as outsiders we should of course each have our own personal view's without feeling it necessary to slag each other off!

I think there is a warrant out for me, but it is only for being 57 years old and still wearing jeans. whistling.gif

Should be in jail anyhow

Even worse ! This murderer should be assassinated together with all the other Red scumbags like Tida, Chalerm and of course Al Capone in Dubai....

Some seriously disturbing posting.

And I thought shooting at someone's home for blowing a whistle was going overboard.

Got them on both sides, it seems.
