I'd like to suggest a forum to publicise Thailand-wide events: non-profit festivals, concerts, exhibitions mostly ... just somewhere for members to collectively share what is going on around the nation.

As a media rep, I find most PR in Thailand to be highly inefficient in promoting worthwhile cultural events. So many times, I cannot keep count, did I find out about an event after it occurred.

As a community service, I think such a forum would be welcome. Thoughts please! :o

It is very hard to find out grass roots event khall.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time a couple of years back to find out Jintara was playing a one off concert that night in our small town.

We rushed off home and grabbed her (Udon Thani) folks who asolutely love her music.

Perhaps I would have a posted a note in a forum like that too and maybe someone else who likes her may have had the opportunity to attend too.

Admin will be made aware :o

I agree ... great idea ... May I suggest that there be one subforum for this ... and then divided up the way the community forums are? I think otherwise it may get too overwhelming if people actually post to it ... would be cool if it could pull up a calendar too

/Me too. I think it's an excellent idea especially if subdivided into regions.

I like the idea too, but as a central depository of information, I would keep it as one forum instead of regionalizing it. Many of us have the free time to travel about and would enjoy attending events all over the nation, but if it's split into many sub-forums, it would be more troublesome to scan over.

A good first step might be to glean the events listed from sites like:

I just noticed the "I drink too much" forum... does that mean the newly-suggested EVENTS forum may reach the sub-committee level for consideration as a TV community service? :o
