They should as its public records...plus Thai law firms/banks/etc., do title searches...if they are being allowed to do title searches then somchai public should be allowed also.

Before rushing off to the land office make sure you can pinpoint the land on the master plot if you don,t have a copy of the front of the deed. First I always ask the PYB of the village, they usually know unless on big development where you can ask the staff.

If I wanted to do this for a property in BKK would he address be enough and is there a main office or do I need to find the one for the area I am looking at?

Hi, I'm sorry to disappoint you but in my experience of trying to find owners of properties,the land office cannot help you.Even if you can find out the name of the owner the land office does not have any other info such as address or phone numbers.My thai wife and I have tried many times to find an owner and have always come up against a brick wall.This was not in Bangkok but near Chiang Rai.If anyone else can give more info I would love to hear it for my own use.

Title deed records are open to the public but you will need some information such as the title deed number or they will not be able to locate that title deed.
