CHIANG MAI, 3 June 2014 (NNT) - Provincial Police Region 5 has mobilized a force numbering about a thousand officers to suppress crime, drug dealing, and other social vices, in order to maintain peace and order in the Chiang Mai region.

Because of criminal activity which has caused social and economic problems in the province, the NCPO and Provincial Police Region 5 are confronting the criminals and suppressing their activities to return harmony to the community, and restore confidence to the many tourists and residents of Chiang Maiarrow-10x10.png Province.

What about the rest of Thailand....and next week?

Have they only just read their job description?

Perhaps some high ranking positions were under threat...........whistling.gif

Looks like dangerous times ahead for anyone who doesn't think right

  • 1 month later...

wonder when they will start on chop chop shops as a lot of cars and bikes seem to come from them

Are the places with girls under this crackdown threat?

Don't think any bars will open Friday or Saturday in Chiang Mai.
