Honestly i dont need another bike and trying to justify it with the wife is going to be difficult. If i was single i would by both and put them in the spare bedroom. Maybe even the living room.

These bike are brand new with less then 10 kilometer and both cost 69,000 baht.

1. Kawasaki Serpico

2. Yamaha TZM

I have a felling parts for the yamaha might be easier to aquire but really not sure.

I'd get the Yamaha, those TZM's are awesome. Can you still get them registered, I'd imagine they'd fail the emissions test?

Never heard of the Serpico googled a pic

looks pretty cool

But TZM's are legendary so would probably lean that way

I am guessing your talking 150's?

a 250 would be considerably more if one could be found NOS

I can say about the TZM that it is a great bike, No experience with the Serpico (Special Edition KRR150)

I think for both parts are still easy to find.

Can you let us in where you found them????

Like others; I have never heard of a Serpico, but even in the US I heard about TZMs because they were probably popular as weekend racers.

I'm sure either bike is great, it's more of a prestige thing leaning towards the Yamaha.

I post all the details as soon as I decide what I want. I think a nos nsr150rr is available. I'd like to by one of each but cannot.

I say Honda nsr150sp proarm if you can find one.

If not Yamaha as sure easier to find parts as I still see some around.

But Kawai serpico is looking cool and it is a rare bike.

Also check Kawai krr 150 and if serpico or krr, try to get the special edition as it makes 40 HP!

Almost forget, if you want a naked version of these fast and light tw strikers, check Kawasaki victor 150! It looks nice and it is fast too.

I have seen many nsr proarm 150SP bikes here but never a rr

That would be a nice find

I sold my n250 three or for years ago. I would consider a n300 but to expensive for another toy!

afaik the 2013 250 is basically the 300

All parts same except stroked crank, abs & slipper clutch & throttle bodies 32 instead of 28

Also 300 runs lower compression

I have both parts manuals & have compared parts

These bikes are good example of how slack the factories have gotten.

Look at this old bike...delta box frame....nice front semi floating rotor

sheesh today you get steel frames & fixed tiny rotors :)

I had one a few years back - bought it of a Filipino here for just 10k (faring a bit scruffy and needed a new CDI unit - 3k) - nice, fast little bike - got stolen :(

I have four shops selling second hand bikes a km or two to my house and yesterday went there to check.

Not so long time ago, they have hundreds of two strokers and some brand new ones for sale but yesterday to check and there were none!

I asked the guys why? they said these fast and light two strokes are again popular and people are collecting them.

I guess this add belongs to one of those guys!

Actually many countries like UK & others want them as gray imports to use for restoration & track

If someone could handle exporting even in parts they could make money on many old models we

often see here in Thailand

Good luck deciding Yankee....

I think you can't go wrong with either of these bikes, good value (fun) for the money.

Mayby the time has come these bikes are becoming popular again.

I'm happy i picked up my N.O.S TZM for 58K :-)

Here are some pics of the Serpico SS what basicly is a special edition of the KRR

Even more special are the PDK Kawasaki's

The KRR's and special editions are the most popular among the Thai 2T fans.

If the tax hasn't been paid for a few years the plate will have been cancelled and you will have to get a new plate plus you will have to get an emissions test done. Test is more lax for pre 2009 bikes. Check it out first.

I am assuming this is the normal inspection emissions that all bike cars after x years old are required. My 2003 600rr wasnt registered for 7 years and it had the inspection done at the shop next to the land office same place my truck goes to yearly . No one fails this inspection in pattaya.

BTW my cbr wasnt even started for the inspection.

I would get the green book transferred and road tax paid before you pay any money. Those are the emission standards and as we know they can be flexible. Just a heads up.

Anybody looking i will say none of the bikes are perfect. They have scratches, brake and possible other issues which is expected after all these years.
