Online tutors?

Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem, but I find it very difficult to learn Thai from my wife/friends/family. I guess it's because they are just telling me what I should know rather than 'teaching' me.

My wife (Thai) and I both work in the US, so I'm not immerssed in the language. However, we've got a three month holiday planned, and I'd like to cram in as much learning as possible. Both, before and during the holiday.

Does anyone know of a good on-line (Skype) Thai tutor? I'd prefer individuals rather than schools or companies.

Thanks, Tom.

Maybe have a look at learn thai with mod. http://learnthaiwithmod.com She does lessons via Skype, and has quite a few videos on Youtube, so you can see what she is about. I often use them to improve my very limited Thai.

There is another called Kru Wee. http://www.kruuweeteachthai.com/905115/skype-lessons Obviously, with these Thai based ones you will have to consider the time difference.

Also learn Thai the Bon's way, but I think she has stopped teaching as she has become quite famous in Thailand, but you can still find her videos on Youtube.

Of course, you could also try Googling "Thai lessons via Skype" which will probably give you a far greater choice.

Hope this helps.
