Make Soi Buakhaow one way traffic, going down to Pattaya Tai from Pattaya Klang for the following reasons.

(1) Road not wide enough for two way traffic.

(2) No pedestrian causeway, so forcing pedestrians to walk in the road.

The Road is wide enough. But not when 700 billion Baht Taxis stop where they want.

Transform Beach Road in a nice pedestrian promenade with no bus, cars or motorbikes allowed.

It will be a big improvement for touristic image of Pattaya

and all traffic problems on Beach Road will be solved smile.png

I'd second that if I didn't think that the locals would not dig up any barriers overnight!

It's like waiting for the day when the locals obey traffic laws!!

It's a very good suggestion but I'd bet any money like the Songthaew Mafia would never allow that to happen.

I recall the response of a Thai driver back in 2009 when the ASEAN conference was held in Pattaya Jomtien Beach Road was made one way for the week before, every so often there would be a barrier in the road, with a no entry sign on it, going the wrong way the driver said: "OK no police" indicating it was only wrong to drive the wrong way if there was a policeman standing at the barrier.
