Construction Worker injured at East Pattaya Condo Construction Site

PATTAYA:--On Monday Afternoon a construction worker was lucky to escape with his life after a partial collapse at a 3 meter-deep man-made lake which is currently under-construction next to a new condominium in East Pattaya.

Khun Nalit aged 45 and a team of workers were inside the hole but he was closest to the side and was struck by falling debris during the partial collapse which was blamed on earlier rainfall.

The incident occurred at the site of Chockchai Condominium 2 off Soi Kao Noi and after First Aid at the scene, Khun Nalit was taken to Hospital with a suspected broken arm.

I blame it on the lack of "Common Sense"...

That hole should have been shored up, what are the building a pool or a pond?

Glad to hear he wasn't killed. The weather may have been a mitigating factor in concert with questionable construction and safety practices. I wasn't there and can only guess based on observations at other construction sites.

This is how a lake should be dug, none of that vertical side nonsense.

i sincerely hope not. I live in the "old" village complex some 50 yards from these condos.
