Well a nice 2 hour power cut was had by everyone along South Pattaya road this afternoon.

The power line in front of Tuk Com exploded !!! :o (and it wasn't even raining at the time )

Oh dear, I hope all the good stuff inside was surge protected !!

It happens quite often but it's usually a much bigger bang followed by a power cut, strange but this time the computer went off (whilst reading TV) then I heard the bang

As I left Living Dolls 1 last night the hello girls outside were looking up at one of them big boxes with sparks around it (electrical safty here seams non existant)

I was in the middle of typing a reply in another thread when I heard the "boom", then the beeps from my UPS. I figured an auto accident had taken out a power pole.

Lost my internet connection as well, and my UPS only lasts a few minutes so I had to close everything down and wait.

Kind of surprised that they got it fixed so quickly though. I guess because it affected TukCom, there was some extra urgency on behalf of the repair crews.

It took down the whole of South Pattaya road !!!! from Sukhumvit to the lights at second road.

I thought that a transformer had blown up ( again ) it was a loud bang..they did well to repair it so quickly though.

I was inside Tukcom at the moment... Pretty big bang, and darkness for about two minutes untill the maintenace crew got the generator going...

Pretty hilarious, was in there to buy 4 UPS's for my new office, but the shop couldn't invoice me because their billing PC was down with the powercut, guess they don't see the point in using a UPS, only in selling them :o:D:D
