can you use any colour ? or is there a no no here on some colours ?

I have a lot of wood windows and doors, about 4 or 5 years ago I repainted them all in choc brown. when built 11 years ago all were painted in creamy white..

now I fancy another colour + needs to be repainted.. so started bright red with a white surround looks nice and very clean and smart, only some when they walk by give a funny look, and the old man in the next house up the Village asked if I was turning the house into a Temple..

So far have done inside and out of the down stair patio doors and front door........ there are still another 16 windows, 2x patio double doors and 2 more full size doors to do, but is this colour a no no in Thailand ?

From day 1, so 11 years my kitchen has been + re painted twice bright red, all doors in bright red, with granite black tops, with red, grey and black wall tiles, grey non slip floor tiles. biggish kitchen 10 m x almost 4 m. can't think of a better colour for a kitchen..

So any advise please is bright red outside woodwork not correct for Thailand ?

Red color in Thailand? Might look at the potential political context 1st and 2nd, are you Chinese? Just a thought how a Thai might perceive it. smile.png

No not Chinese, never thought about political rubbish.

maybe better think of another colour then.. vivid orange maybe...

just every house appears to be the same, white or cream woodwork which goes dull and dirty very quick.

Try the hideous lime green or orange, you will blend in nicely.

I keep meaning to check if these garish colours are a lot cheaper or if its a result of mixing the half tins of paint they have found.

Got one Lime Green house in the Village, wood work white,

Got a pussy pea green with white wood work

Got a bright Orange, and white wood work

and a bright Yellow again wood work white

and there is only 61 detached single houses in the Village

Grey with white wood work would look good, but big house so big job
