David Sampson RIP

I regret to advise of the passing of David Sampson (formally of West’s Restaurant off Huay Kaew and more recent of Compass Restaurant on Charoenprathet Road) on Thursday the 23^rd July 2014.

He died in hospital in Melbourne, Australia, of respiratory failure caused by a tumour in his throat. His passing was peaceful. May he RIP

We wish ‘Kon’, his business partner in both above ventures, all the very best in the continuation of Compass.

At least David was a very good tutor and Kon a very good student, and the food that I have had at the restaurant, since David's passing, was up to the same excellent standard as previously !!

David will be missed. He was a kind and charming man and a splendid cook. A real asset to the community.
