I luv having no car. But sometimes would like to use one but not to rent. In some cities of the world car ownership sharing is practiced. Particulars i don't know but the idea sounds good to me. Since everyone 'owns' the car and the contracts spell out exactly various details of the owners, the idea of common ownership might be good for me. How about for you?

I'm up for it if you can find 4 others. That will make six of use each putting up 40,000 baht for a nice 240,000 baht used car. Tears over 40,000 baht? I don't think so.

Only responsible adults need apply. Put up some kind of escrow fee, a rotating committee of 'bosses', rules of the road, appointment book,...etc. Oh, yea. Pay for the petrol you use.

And to reiterate: only responsible adults.

I quite like the idea but seems to me the more 'owners' the more problems -usage conflicts;

you did more km than me; I Ieft it full and clean, you brought it back 3/4 full and dirty etc etc.

All soluble if you can find 5 more sensible, honourable people to participate. Good luck with that.

And one sixth of a cheap (240k) car will buy you a helluva lot of taxi/tuk-tuk/songthaew rides for your 40k, with no fuiel;/service/repair bills. .
