What is the difference between Furazolidone and Nifuroxazide

What is the difference to my stomach/intestines between Furazolidone and Nifuroxazide?

 

Both used to stop diarrhea I think.

Both are antibiotics of the "nitrofuran" class. They will be useful for diarrhea only if the diarrhea was caused by a susceptible bacteria or protozoa which is often not the case.

 

Like all antibiotics they will also wipe out normal gut flora which can make diarrhea worse so advisable only when it is reasonably certain what the cause is.
