sandblasting & repainting old bicycle

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I have an old german road bike that I bought here for a pretty good deal, but it has rust in places that I would like to get removed and painted over so it can last and I don't have to worry about it. Does anyone know of a place that I could get this done? And if so, do you have an estimate of the cost?

Thanks for your help!

I have no professional knowledge of sandblasting or painting, but here's a wild idea.

We have used the professional car spray painting services a couple of times at 'Saveway'. On the left side of Mahidol Road, as you go towards the superhighway, about 1.5 kilometres down from Airport Plaza. It's a big mechanic / paint etc., shop and at the front (at the kerb) they have a B Quik tyre shop.

We recently had our 'classic' car re-sprayed there, they did an excellent and very professional job at very reasonable price. They have the professional spray paint room and all the appropriate spray facilities.

Maybe they might do your bike, perhaps worth a visit to check.

Good luck.
