GlobalTV - Money and Local Representative Gone?!

Featured Replies

A friend of mine came to me and said his GlobalTV account does not work anymore. He paid money to the local representative of GlobalTV here in Pattaya in advance for some months. But it seems that his money disappeared with this local representative... I called the GlobalTV main office and they told me that they know about this story - there are many other people who lost their money. Then I asked them if they reported this case to the police. They just told me that this is not their problem and they are not responsible for the lost money. But they are so nice to give him 1 month for free if he pays again.

Are there any other people with this problem? And if I look at their advertisement there are still many "representatives" working all over Thailand. So better not to pay to them anymore?

Hope it will not affect me in the future?

About 20 days ago I again paid to the SCB account of "Link2Europe" which is behind GlobalTV in Jomtien.

SCB account number 626xxxxxxx4.

I pay via online banking, automatic SMS sent to receiver (have got the phone number via email).

Got a response in less then 30 minutes, license renewed.

Is this the representative you writing about?

And if I look at their advertisement there are still many "representatives" working all over Thailand.

Is this online advertisement? Can you provide a link?

EDIT: think I just found an ad in a German language online newspaper with three German first names plus mobile nr. (for Pattaya).

Is this what you mean?

I am not at my friend anymore but if I remember correctly this is the account of the main office. You can reconfirm this at the phone number 080 643 3640. The persons last name that I wrote about starts with F. I cannot write the full name since there is no finished (or any?) legal case. The main office told us that there are many people who lost their money. So if people do not pay to the main office but to a local representative I would contact the main office for a confirmation if they guarantee for them. For this representative in Pattaya they did not and as I wrote they do not even want to report it to the police.

People who were customers of this F. also should check their computer. At some customers he had the ability to login to their computer to help them. So these people should make sure that he has no access anymore.

This F. cannot be reached by phone anymore. I have his email address and I will try to make clear to him that if he does not fix this sad case that I will do the utmost that he will never be able to come to Thailand again - if he does not prefer to stay in the "Bangkok Hilton". He cannot have made so much money that this would be worth these consequences. So I still have hope that he and the money finds the correct way...after some delay... Perhaps he simply had a hard time and did not know how to get out of it. So if he reads these lines he should contact me.
