comparing george best to jimmy macilroy is like comparing a morris minor to a RR, First of all JM was a gentleman on and off the pitch,a genius footballer and an International who played in the World Cup Tournaments. Gb was a talented footballer who pissed on his chips to often and was not fit to even lace up jm's boots I was brought up watching the 1960's team, went to all the cup finals apart from the play off final v sheffield utd. And as for taffy and ralph coates 2 of the finest wingers to play for the Claerts and for their countries.

Hmmmmm, yeah, no doubt's sounds justifiably, a Burnley legend and probably one of the top players of the period, but to say george best wasnt fit to tie jm's boots, pushing it a bit mate, really, didnt hear Pele mention j.m when he said he himself wasnt 'fit to tie Bestie's bootlaces'. And cant really see coatsy being one of the finest wingers for england, wonderful for burnley disappointing for Tottenham and for England, never did quite make his mark.but was always amazed at how many top draw young players Burnley brought through, what was it? they just gave them a chance where as others wouldn't?
