Relationships b/w western guys and Asian women from a feminist perspective

Featured Replies

Seastallion, the objective of mentioning that I am gay was to indicate that I will not be looking at any women as sex objects. Many Western men in Thailand do just that.... and it's pretty obvious that they regard Asian women as sexier than Western women.

  • Speaking as a western woman with a lot of western women friends the general view is that none of us give a sh!t what you guys do & majority of the vitriol comes from western men rather the other w

  • It's just another manifestation of the Bwana Syndrome but it's directed towards women rather than foreigners.

  • I said alot not all. But don't let that stop your own prejudices shine through.

Lol, "but then I'm gay". I'm not sure if you're saying that being gay excuses you for loving Western women (and thus implying that an excuse is needed) or that as a gay man you're not subject to what some Western men have experienced from some Western women. Either way, there could be something freudian there that empathises with some Western men's view.

(Please note the "some" before taking offense, Boo).

Yes, doormats are boring. The "womyn" of the article is certainly not a doormat either, but that does not mitigate her particular unattractiveness to me, a Western man.

I am a man. I am the least chauvanist man I know. I cook every day, I wash the clothes often, I almost always am the one that does the dishes. I make love with respect, passion, gentleness and strength, I solicit opinions from my wife and treat her as an equal, not consciously, but she is so I do......but why should I be ashamed of my alpha maleness? Why should I not dislike bullish man-hating Western women or even non-bullish ones? Why should I be ashamed to actually like it when my Asian wife gives me a massage or defers to me because of her cultural upbringing?

Why can a woman say "hear me roar" but a man can't without being called a chauvanist or a misogynist or a braindead neanderthal?

"I am the least chauvanist man I know" "but why should I be ashamed of my alpha maleness?"

You laugh? Do you think alpha male and chauvinism are mutually exclusive?

Why?

Lol, I take your point, I was being sneaky and disingenuous to make another point, tongue in cheek.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think Asian woman (most) are sexier than most Western women. What's wrong with that? That's not belittling or vilifying Western women. But apparently it gets on the nerves of some Western women (such as the writer of the article), and they mouth off about weak men wanting submissive Asians. If I wanted submissive, I'd go to some remote Indian village and buy a wife/sex thing/housekeeper..

What I thought funny in the article was that white people who disapproved of mixed black/white relationships are labelled as racist, but black women who disapprove are simply defending their breeding pool.

What's a femimist?

I have never been a femiNist. But i do stand proud to be a woman and to have my say in any argument.

What i don't like, is men putting me down on many Fora, not just this one. Just because i was born in the West.

For me feminist is a feminist is a person compared to the old geezers who expect women to follow their rule using words and power to put another person or another gender down.

Feminism was once about supporting equal rights for the both genders. The way things supposed to be. Now that very good idea is only a disguise for today's feminists to allow them to be arrogant and unempathic human blobs who are all about "me, myself and I". Creating a common enemy, the men, makes the group force stronger.

That moronic radicalism only turns against itself. Plenty of women and men, who actually support equality (or are not even able to see, why there should be an difference), dislike the feminists. Just the way they dislike the similar phenomena, chauvinist.

I'll just leave this image to sink in. f71717534367cbdd.jpg

Patsy... me luv...

they are not putting you down because you were born in the West or because you have a humongous derrière. their negative reaction is generated when feminists ladies use the latin plural of the word "forum" which should only be used when referring to a forum of the Roman Empire. the plural of a nowadays forum (aka discussion board) is forums... whether you like it or not.
