Morning after pill advice

Hi, so I've got myself into a spot of bother. Stupid I know, but does anyone know if I can get the morning after pill in any pharmacy? If so, what is the name? Thanks for any advice

Yes you can (and don't delay - the sooner taken the better!).

Brand names are Postinor and Madonna.

No prescription needed.

Get her to take it NOW and then the second tablet in exactly 1 week.

No problem.

It kick starts her period.

Madonna is two tablets, take one ASAP, then the second 12 hours later.

But, brings on a period in 24hrs (ish)

Yes - and this is important - it is one tablet right away and the second in 12 hours. Definitely not a week later!!!

May or may not induce some bleeding or spotting, no need to worry if it does not.

However it is not 100% effective so be alert to the possibility of pregnancy nonetheless.

There will not necessarily be a period a week later. the occurrence of out-of-cycle spotting or bleeding varies and sometimes there is none. This does not mean it was ineffective (though if next period is late, that possibility should be excluded).

it also depends on when in the menstrual cycle the med was taken.
