Black Mountain – Maxi Golf, Midi Golf or Mini Golf in Hua Hin?

Black-Mountain-Maxi-Golf-Midi-Golf-or-Mi

HUA HIN:-- There are three choices for golf at Black Mountain and that’s not counting the driving range or other practice areas.

Of course the main championship course stakes centre stage as ‘maxi golf’. This is clearly one of the finest golf courses in the world with multiple awards, endorsements and recognition. Add to that the par three course, the ‘midi’ version. Not just a chip and putt or ‘hit and giggle’, this is a serious tune up for the short game.

Lots of water, bunkers and contoured greens, not for the faint-hearted or beginner. What many regular visitors to Black Mountain may not realise is that there is also have a ‘mini’ version of the game. Alongside the clubhouse, on the left as you approach, there is an 18 hole mini golf course. For 300 THB per hour, you and your family can enjoy a fun time trying to figure out the breaks and nuances of the synthetic surfaces. Best to take your own putter and golf balls; bookings are probably not really necessary but you may need to call into the clubhouse first as the kiosk is not always manned.

Many golfers have experienced and perhaps become addicted to hitting that little white ball at a mini golf course as a child at some less sophisticated (and maintained) mini golf course. It’s not really a serious version of the game but especially for kids to get a taste for the game and take a look at ‘big brother’ next door, this is the way to go. Well worth the trip to Black Mountain for you and your family to test your skills or just to have lots of fun!
