since 8 am I am irritated with terrible music from the public speaker near my guesthouse. could not enjoy my breakfast and had to leave to the beach.

now 11 and still this embarrassing noise. its the 3rd day now. not enough loud here in patong 24 hours a day????

any ideas whats going on.

    Actually it's the Phuket Vegetarian Festival that starts on Sept 23 with the events taking place in Phuket Town. Don't think there are any formal events in Patong.

    The Vagitarian Festival is a daily event with events centered around Bangla Rd.

    Which Guest House in Nanai do you stay in then?

    Having walked all the way along Nanai Rd today I didn't notice any music or speakers. Are you up on the extended 'Nanai' Rd up past Montes? If so that is not Nanai Rd and there appears to be an important shrine there, along with a better paved road.
