Hi my husband and I would like to bring an asian female into canada to live with us she would be doing very light housekeeping and a few other things with him and myself. Does anybody have any ideas where to post an ad and how to bring them into canada all the immigration visa ext. Or would it be easier for for him or us to go down and bring someone back with us who wants to come to canada

thanks

Ummmm

I can tell you this much,

When my wife and i first went to apply for her visa it was not a walk in the park. Provided everything we needed and yet there was still some hook ups. Your "worker" will be required to show proof of cash in bank, house ownership, among other things. The fact that you want to bring her to work only, will result in alot of other questions. Im sure anything is possible but what your asking is not going to be easy at all. Best of luck

Will be difficult indeed, because the work you are wanting the Thai person to do could be done by an unemployed Canadian, of which there are many.

I can offer a lot of advice on getting a visitor's visa- see this thread;

Unfortunately- probably not much help to you.

The website listed for the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok should have a lot of more useful information.

I'd be curious to know how you make out with this... please keep us updated!

I think it will be highly difficult.An American friend of mine tried to take his Thai wife to Canada to meet some family members living there.

At the time,they were also applying for U.S.residency at the Embassy in Bangkok.[An application like this cannot be moved to another country-it had to be continued in Bkk.]

When she was interviewed,she was asked why she wished to visit Vancouver she told the interviewer that that was where the family were.She told him what hotel she would be staying in and was told there was no such place.She pointed out she was applying for U.S.residency and therefore had to return to Thailand.She produced the paperwork.To cut a long story short,she was turned down flat with no right of appeal as neither her or her husband were Canadian nationals.

Best of luck to you,mate but dont hold your breath.
