noice cancelling

Featured Replies

Hi, i recently arrived in Thailand and i have a room near a busy street. I want to find a way to block the street noise. Panels, drapes? Anybody knows a shop that can help me in Bangkok?

Friendly greets

Ear plugs or relocate.

Yes, that seems to be the only options here in the Land of Noise.

Noise cancelling headphones won't stop noise of bars and music and bar girls. Even ear plugs aren't great, best thing is move

Buy a large fan with a high setting. Set it at the foot of the bed aimed at you. The "whoosh" will cover up a lot of the noise (once you get used to the whooshing noise) and you'll find you can make do without the air conditioning.

You will get used to it. I think the fan option is your best bet. Or keep music playing in the background. But honestly, you will adapt. I used to live across the street from a fire station. Did not even notice the sirens after a month.
