Buddhists in Nong Kai celebrate the end of Buddhist Lent

NONG KAI, 8 October 2014 (NNT)-Buddhists in Nong Khai province have come out to join various religious rituals to celebrate the end of Buddhist Lent today.

Buddhists in the Muang district this morning paid a visit to Wat Nam Mong (Nam Mong Temple) to offer alms and make merits. They also listened to the sermon and offer food to monks. The atmosphere was lively and full of excitement.

It is so common to see Nong Kai local gathering at the temple to make merits, given it has long been a tradition of local people here. It is also thought to be a good example for people to apply the Buddhist principles in their lives.
