Vinegar and TV's don't mix

Featured Replies

My Tee Rak thought to clean the TV with the same vinegar she uses on windows. The result is a rippled surface that resembles transparent alligator hide. Sony Bravia LCD (or LED - not sure). So I am wondering if the exposed surface may be a clear plastic that could be discarded to reveal a pristine screen underneath or if the surface is the screen itself. Is the TV history? She will be joining me next year in the USA so we were only going to give this away or sell it eventually but while I am in Sakon Nakhon I have been fixing all her broken appliances - I have not taken many newer style TVs apart though.

You throw acid at plastic yep it ripples,as for a pristine underlay forget it.

Tell her to pay for it out of her pocket money.

The TV was hers before I met her. In contrast to the usual experience many Thai Visa members seem to have, my wife has never asked anything of me, gave back my sin sot as it was only for show. She has her own income, will retire next year with a pension, and will come to help me with my business. She takes responsibility for the ruined screen and is not too upset since she has a bigger and better one upstairs.

RNguy, you are QUITE RIGHT!

Reckon we see so many "done me wrong" stories here, we forget at times that there are many, many more Happy Stories of Foreign Guys and Thai Girls where everything clicks and does so, on a permanent basis.

I'm happy to say, that applies in my marriage. Having been "turned over" by more than one European lady in my home country, I wasn't looking for a relationship when I came to work here many years ago. We met unexpectedly at a business function and traded contact details. Sometime later on our first date, despite the best of instructions on how to find her house (from both her AND my staff) I got lost and kept getting lost. Several phone calls over the ensuing 90 minutes ended with her suggesting a Prominent location that I knew how to find. She caught a taxi and met me...no Drama!

At the venue we went to, I was looking furtively around to see if they took "plastic" as I didn't have much CASH on me. She asked what I was looking for and I explained. She told me not to worry as she had money on her. Turned out the venue did take Amex and the bill wasn't very large anyway. We have since been in business together, she worked like a Trojan to ensure it was a success. We've bought and sold property together, we've lived abroad, we have a teenage daughter who is sheer perfection. Twice when I've been in hospital she has stayed with me overnight to make sure I was okay.

How many European girls measure up to the standards of Thai girls in a relationship? I have never met one and couldn't give a damn because I have all I could ever want in a wife. Yes, and she is THAI.
