The GSB also refused to loan funds as well as 3rd party banks under pressure from the PDRC. Farmers were not being paid for months before it became illegal to borrow more and more money to finance PT's ridiculous, disastrously unworkable rice scheme.

It had failed horribly and the farmers were the ones left to suffer the consequences of this.

PT betrayed its core support base by taking their only product and not paying for it.
