Need some recommendations!

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Am going to bkk for 4 days, 3 nights and i'm hoping to get some recommendations on where to go and what to do for the 4 days there. Particularly interested in the nightlife and a little bit of shopping.

I'm staying at mandarin hotel by the centre point and I've heard of RCA for the bars/clubs etc. and am also wondering how long does it take for me to get there?

Thanks in advance and I hope i can get some good suggestions here.

Are you at The Oriental??

A bit confused. But RCA from there is around 25 minutes by car on a clear run. Though traffic is often awful..

RCA is good if you're happy with Thai style bars and clubs.

Most of the venues are sit down, table service, places where you'll order a bottle with friends and spend the night chatting and having a laugh with them rather than wandering the club or hitting the dance floor as you might be used to back home.

For many farang they don't like this style of club. Personally I don't mind it when with friends.

Route 66 is a bit of an exception. Many farang in there and it's less 'Thai' style than most the other places.

If you're looking for the 'BKK naughty nightlife' then don't go here you will be disappointed.

Route 66 is a very good nightclub. I recommend you to stop by and check it out.
