mrbojangles
As stated a few posts above. We don't need to. We get 11,000 more than you lot every week, as it is. Wrong there BJ, your ground holds 11,690 more than our ground, thats not the same as getting 11,690 more every week, in fact your average attendance over the last 20 years is only marginally higher than ours by 1,154, so i would imagine out match day revenue over that period is a lot higher than yourselves ! Incidently your only running at 97% capacity for this season so any price increases i would expect to bring that figure down even lower ! Don't tell me I'm wrong when you are comparing Apples with Tomatoes alfie. How on earth can you compare average attendances over 20 years when for the first half of that we were at Maine Road, which had a capacity of circa 35,000. Why not compare the attendance at our new ground? You also split hairs over a few hundred people when I was obviously rounding the figures. BTW, no club will ever get 100% capacity if they allow away fans in. Several hundred seats, if not more are taken up in segretating the fans. Therefore, 97% ain't bad at all. I'll have to check out your stats when I get some more time.

Aaahhh, we're not comparing Apples and Tomatoes, within that first 10 years you never had an attendance over 32,000 and the average was 27,293 so the lower ground capacity would'nt be detrimental to the average over 20 years !!!!!! alfieconn
Right got to go and cut the grass, can someone let me know when BJ has answered this question "Do you not think that if they could charge a lot more and still get full houses they would ? " No. As I said, we get sell out prem games week-in week-out. We could charge more and still sell. As I said it's probably down to enticing children but either way andf whatever is the reason, making matches cheaper shouldn't be knocked. If you think that you really are living in a dreamworld ! Some less kind posters might compare you to a horrible West London club..... You see, you are all jumping on the wrong data again. You obviously haven't taken into account the fact that in 1992 the Platt Lane stand was demolished and a new all seater was built. This obviously affected the capacity. Additionally in 1994/5 the Kippax Stand was demolished taking the capacity down to 18,300. Now come back when you have factored that lot in. mrbojangles
Come on mrboj....was Maine Road's Citeh end sold out every week or not? smokie, I don't know where this fixation with City's attendances has come about but read my last post on it. If you are going to use a period of time to assess the attendance, then at least incorporate the fluctuation of capicty into it. I.E. the average attendance of 27,000 over the 20 year period stated, included a period where our maximum capacity was 18,300. I am not going to do your "homework" for you on this subject as well. mrbojangles
Really happy with that result. It's showing that we have the stamina. Down to 10 men after 24 minutes and yet still had the majority of possession, most shots on and off target. Their goal was totally against the run of play buit we knuckled down and didn't close up shop after pulling back level. I am also really happy with Dzecko and his overall attitude. Well done City.
