Good (american Style) Breakfast

Reading the net to keep up to speed on the latest NFL happenings, low and behold Peter King of SI is reporting on the food at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp:

I cheated today. I could have eaten with the Bucs' media crew, but it's been about eight months since I have Waffle Housed. And when I passed one early this morning, I just had to have it. It became my major meal of the day.

Entrée: Three scrambled eggs with cheese, raisin toast, hash browns with onions. If God has put another breakfast on the planet, I have never sampled it. The combination of melted American cheese done on the Waffle House grill is the breakfast equivalent of a medium rare filet at Ruth's Chris. Grade: A.

Ah Waffle House – Talk about hash browns:

— "Scattered," Scattered on the grill while cooked.

— "Smothered," Smothered with onions.

— "Covered," Covered with melted cheese.

— "Chunked," Chunks of hickory smoked ham are added.

— "Topped," Topped with chili.

— "Diced," Fresh diced tomatoes are thrown in.

How about Norms diner? Anyone thats been in So. Cal has had to see these places. They also serve a very tasty breakfast.

Oh, and you 'll love this one. In Las Vegas here where I live, many casinos offer late night breakfast specials as some of you may know. Sometimes these specials are good and sometimes they are not. Recently though, I just saw a special I could not believe. A casino off the strip was offering:

2 eggs

2 bacon

2 sausage

hash browns

unlimited coffee

and all the toast you could eat for the fabulous low price of 0.49 cents!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bourbon Street has good breakfasts.

This is the best American breakfast that I've found in Bangkok - pretty good Eggs Benedict!

Art Cafe, Bake and Bite (night bazaar branch) nd Sojos in Chiang Mai ALL have American style sausage, sourdough bisquits and pancakes as well as cinnamon rolls and great American breakfasts!

Where is Sojos?

It is right behind Pantip Plaza (night bazaar) on the same road as Suriwong Books (Sri Don Chai road).

They just added a bunch of things to the menu and it's pretty darn good American food - a LOT of Christian missionary customers who travel in big families and large groups, but they are pleasant enough and service is pretty good.

Best American Breakfast in Bangkok or Thailand for that matter has to be at

Bourbon Street in Washington Square. Texas Lone Staar breakfasts are also

exceptable as are the offerings at JUSMAGTHAI for those who are active duty

or retired military or even just have an American passport.

I'm looking for a tasty American style breakfast in Bangkok, preferably along a public transportation route. I'm talking basic eggs, pancakes, breakfast sausage (not those tasteless British ones), and good coffee. Definitely NOT looking for something trendy. Just honest diner style fare.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
