Has anyone been asked to go to the wattana psychiatric hospital

As I said before selling the car will require paperwork and signatures of the owner in the Blue book. I would try and get those done now if I were you.. as another poster stated it should be an easy enough sale direct to a dealer. Good luck with everything.

Think all is sorted, the car is at swampy and will get moved on shortly to be sold.

Cool. Long term parking I hope. Swampy parking fees are a killer :-D

I would like to see some kind of investigation launched into this. Has this been reported to the police ?

I would as well. IMHO it should be done by some outside-of-Thailand human rights organization.

The perpetrators of these crimes (crimes against humanity?) were Thai and the heroes foreigners. That combination doesn't sit well in Thailand.

Nothing nastier that a hive of hornets, that were slurping up all the sweets, when the nest gets kicked.

Yes. Hmmm...I can "like" your post but not weegee's...go figure.

I wouldn't be surprised if they the thieving shits drive down to swampy to try and find the car

The most important bit has been taken care of. Well done to the hero's and heroine's here... you know who you are.

However, it was discomforting to see that the OP's wife had been in touch and had even been responded to. Leaving the truck at the airport isn't the cleverest of moves and leaving it in possession of a Bankok TV member would have guaranteed that it will be available when weegee gets back. This is a public forum and even though personal and travel details have been deleted, there's always a chance that the truck location can get back to her or her family. Yes, weegee probably has the parking card and keys but I hate to say it... this IS Thailand and there's been more than one car handed over to spurned spouses and fraudsters regardless of proof of ownership. Hopefully this won't be the case, especially if weegee is only doing an escort job and headed back pronto.

Think about it, a buriram witch has just realised her prize buffalo has escaped. She is pissed off and only took 48-hours or so to make contact by phone. But with social media, it may not be long before this thread is brought to her attention.

Well done weegee, I only wish there were more people like you in this world.

As for his wife, she sounds absolutely vile, I hope karma comes round and destroys her life just as she wanted to destroy his.

Indeed, I would post what I think but don't want to sour this quality thread.

Swampy is one big parking lot..... You might have to put up a sign on it, or something. With a telephone number. Oh yes...the point of contact is important, as well.

Weegee, I am going to Suwanaphum tonight to pick up my brother.

If you PM me the details of the car (including where it is parked) and I can check that it is still there and ok.

I only saw this thread yesterday and read it through. Tough situation and I really felt for the guys situation.

It was heartwarming to see some guys step up and take control and offer support. Weegee, you're a good man. Thankyou.

Despite all the baiting and insults and fun we have on TV, it's good to know that the forum also offers support when needed, often to complete strangers.

Well done guys. You should feel proud of what you did.

Who is actually picking up the car now, I can't do it till Friday?

I will be on the evening flight from Udon. Maybe Mr Lobster can sort it?

Hello! I am the daughter!! Thank you to all who have been trying to help my father over the past few days. It was only this morning that I learned of recent events and I am so grateful that he has people around him to help him through this difficult ( and ridiculously weird) time. He will hopefully be on a flight home soon and then we can start figuring out future steps.

Can I also just say that after having read this thread through from the start I have to comment on the few very narrow minded individuals who have felt the need to post unhelpful and distasteful posts, to you few disgusting human beings who have taken amusement from this story I hope you never find yourselves in need of help from others!!

Oh there are many here in need of help from others. It's simply that this particular case garnered so much sympathy on this particular forum because of the very precise circumstances. If you get my drift.

Whoever is picking up the car would be best to arrange for their best friend BiB mate to either accompany them or let them go get it. If the witch and her brood are watching the car, they may have brought their own pet BiB... and more.

Buggered if I would be stepping off a plane and walking up to this particular motor on my tod without backup.

Probably best to stop talking about the car. I assure you Weegee has it all under control.

If it was me I would have electronically disabled the car, so it can only be moved on the back of a lorry or trailer, make it as difficult as possible if found.

True enough. On a side note. I can never find my car in long term parking even when I know where it is :-D

Yup, the boys here have done a sterling job, but giving the location of the car publicly (on here) could prove deadly. Maybe the mods will edit the location out of all the posts??

I don't give a hoot about the car. It's the guy picking it up that I am concerned about.

Charlie,

Excellent suggestion,

if the car does need to me moved from the airport by trailer to another location sure something can be arranged no problem, wink.png

as long as Weegee leaves the parking ticket that is...laugh.png

There is only one weegee and they broke the mold.

Really great to see the successful result. Weegee and others have done a truly amazing job. I'm sorry i wasn't able to help much but the team that pulled it together were just outstanding!!! thumbsup.gif

Good luck Tom !!!

The important thing is the OP is in the air, out of Thailand, well away from the nest of vipers..

Charlie,

In honor of this occasion can I ask that members who have positively contributed to this thread be immune from being suspended/banned from TV for the next 30 days, irrespective of what they may post on TV ?

After what he's been though, I reckon he'll sleep well on the flight home.

BIG cheers to weegee, leader of the pack.

But don't forget his team that helped. Some don't want to be named, just wanted to help.

To all those who assisted ... clap2.gif

Job well done!

Weegee, if only the guys from Hangover2 knew you :D

Indeed, a job well done by members here and people outside, a definite positive impact on a persons life.

Its heart warming, and to a degree comforting, to see that despite some differences people have come together to provide positive assistance to a genuine person in need, just when it was desperately needed.

Good job ! to all those who supported and assisted in the Op's safe return to his family.

Wow! I just spent the last 2 hours reading 16 pages of this incredible but horrifying ordeal of this poor man.

I got Goosebumps on my arms, shivers down my spine and tears in my eyes.

To those of you who came to this mans assistance in his hour of need, you have my utmost respect for a truly compassionate act of human endeavour.

To the mans daughter, I sincerely hope your Father can overcome his terrible ordeal. My best wishes for his speedy recovery.

The lobster does want to participate in any action that goes to further this cause. I am sending a representative, as I am currently in Chiang Mai.

We need something like the old "Pony Express" ...to keep things out of the hands of the Injuns.
