Bail Bondsman scammer arrested in front of Pattaya Courthouse

PATTAYA: -- A 42 year old woman, who had promised the mother of a prisoner, she could secure his temporary release for an agreed fee, was arrested by Police in front of the Pattaya Provincial Court on Thursday afternoon.

Khun Kemtong aged 50, had earlier reported the alleged scam and explained that her Son had been arrested and was due to appear in Court earlier this week. Outside the Courthouse, she was approached by Khun Tipaporn aged 42, who claimed she could secure a temporary release of her Son in exchange for a fee.

Khun Kemtong handed over a total of 100,000 Baht but her Son was not released as promised. At this point, she suspected the woman was running a scam and contacted the Court who confirmed that a temporary release could not be arranged by anyone, especially Khun Tipaporn who later called Khun Kemtong and arranged to meet her to receive more money outside of the Courthouse, however this time the suspect met the Police and was arrested.

Unfortunately not everyone is as sensible and rational as you infer you would be in similar stressful and emotional circumstances.

I wonder if anyone will stand bail for Khun Tipaporn the woman scammer?
