Medical Travel Insurance Recommendations for the UK for Thai national and UK visit visa?

Really depends on age and length of stay.

My partner has used Columbus Direct, who are based in the UK but will insure Thai residents, she has also used World Nomads, the advantage with these is they provide good cover and pay the hospital direct if there's a need.

As I understand most Thai Insurers require hospital bills to be paid in advance and then claimed back, that has certainly been my recent experience anyway.

There is a forum dedicated to insurance, I'm moving this thread there as I think you will get better advice.

Have a look at Worldnomads online. Maunder written by Danish mob. Very good and very competitive. I have claimed with them before too for medical. Trouble free.

Not affiliated with them in any other way

Cheers for this info.

I was going to post in that forum but it said ' Insurance in Thailand' so was not sure if it was only to do with insurance inside Thailand.

The fact that you have to pay first and claim later is a problem for me so these options sound good. She is 35 and is staying for 6 months.
