After watching the video three times, I missed the bit where he goes to the immigration to 1) get an extension on his visa and 2) applyfor a work permit, because at the end of the video, apparently he's an English teacher

So basically what this video is showing is, "Come to Thailand, go to the islands, lose all your documentation, fall in love with a beautiful beach girl, and become a teacher!" mai pen lai... no problem!

TBH - I had a similar experience some years ago when I lost a bag on a beach and had it returned with all the money the next morning, but that's tempered by every bugger who tries to rip me off when working on my house, also how on earth does he manage to stay so long with the current visa rules....... :-)

Here's an example, I've been quoted £3000 to paint my house - my builder from the UK is willing to fly out and do it cheaper.........

What a bunch of grumpy old men (GOM) on this post...it is an "advertisement". An advertisement is used to promote a particular product. Do you GOM think those Viagra commercials you see will really get you that strong? or the Chang Beer commercials will get you those beautiful women? It is a commercial, and a darn good one. I notice (like in any country) once you get outside the big greedy cities, the locals are like this. Sad you haven't had the same experience.

I think there is some fact in the video, but that`s only because the guy is young hansum man. If any of us older folk were to find ourselves in similar situations, there would be no sympathetic young ladies to give us emotional support and TLC, no nice people wanting to befriend us offering hospitality, or at least if not offering money, and the police would assume that we have mislaid our bag because our memories have lapsed due to senile dementia setting in and no one would show the slightest of interest in our predicament.

How events shape for us, no matter where we are, all depends on what side of the fence we`re on.
