"snatch robbery' conjured up a completely different image for me.

Good on 'ya Dad.

The fruit never falls far from the tree ... whistling.gif

How sad is that, because he does not have the money to pay for the Motorbike....

Desparate measures, definetly a bad impression for the son...

No excuses, probably too lazy to go find work, easier for them to pick on an innocent woman.

Any ideas what the punishment will be for this crime anyone ?

Most likely a small money fine. Unlikely the court sentence will ever be reported, just like almost every other news sensation story.

I guess the father is preparing the his son for his adult life, a profession to fall back on..

They use bicycles in the US....can't hear them coming - then hard to catch + not much CCTV....

Any ideas what the punishment will be for this crime anyone ?

Inactive post and an umbrella rental spot on the beach as rehabilitation measure.

Im sure this must be a proud moment for any father, when a son wants to carry on the family tradition.

Yeah, when did panty raids escalate to snatch robberies?

Any ideas what the punishment will be for this crime anyone ?

At least several years of hard time for the father, for the son not sure..

Another vivd example of male entitlement in Thailand-many males here are completely spoiled and they are accustomed to live off the women which is despicable as they grow up very lazy and demanding in many cases,I am seeing it in my own family.Chastisement is a much better character builder than showing too much affection.

"Narongchai told police he needed the money to meet payments for his motorbike."

Of course! Without a motorbike, it makes it difficult to snach purses...

he could have sent his son to the Eesan, helping bring in the rice. Some money to be made there right now.

Oh, I forgot they can't stop taking their fingers out of their nostrils picking sooth left from burning trash.

To find work in Thailand is actually a TOUGH thing, which I want to state clearly to all other posters who think

it's way easy.

o course doesn't excuse Poppa's ideas of raisin' some cash . . .

impound the vehicule used to commit a crime, would be a good start + some real jail time

they can have good father / son relations in prison with the other 48 cellmates
