Anyone have any comments about Chevy trucks?

Good, bad, etc Experience with service, decent ride ?

Too late now, delivery on the 15th, but I'd like to hear from other Chevy Colorado owners.

Thanks

Glenn

Thai's do love the Dmax. Three of my adjacent neighbours have brand new 4X4 Highlanders, fortunately all in different colours. :o

The style appeal of any vehicle is purely in the eye of the beholder. I personally like the Dmax from the outside, but the inside....well, it's not as bad as the Triton which has the ugliest of all door trims, but it just looks dated to me.

I like the Triton from the front and rear but the side, man there's just no word's for it, A lot of Thais I know tell me they stay away from the Chevy because spares are more expencive and not so easy to find + they like to stay with what they know, just what Ive been told don't forget, I personly haven't had anything to do with one.

Chevy must have the worst web site of all the manufacturers. There is some info' about the Colorado but little else.

Just out of interest, why did you go for the colorado instead of its stable mate Isuzu ? I'm doing some homework trying to decide what to buy...when I've saved enough that is :o

Because i think its better looking than the Dmax :D

Dmax and Chevy are exactly the same chassis wise and mechanically, the leaf springs and other various parts on my Chevy are labelled Izuzu. :D

Although I can't comment on the Colorado, I do have a Silverado. Between the big three (Chevy, Ford and Dodge), Chevy makes some of the nicest most dependable trucks. My truck is close to 20 years old, has 226,000 miles on it and has been on a number of old abandoned logging roads deep in mud with no problems. The only major repair its had is a replaced transmission.

I am quite new with the pick-up experience ans whant to buy one. Is it possible to adjust the suspension on a Colorado?? so it is a lot les bumpy to ride in??

Or do you need to buy a special type for that??

ANd can you get extra's like bullbar etc? cannot find anything on their webiste?

If not can you refer me to a shop in Bangkok , preferbaly around Bang Na, where I can buy good accessories??

Have had a D-Max nearly a year now.Have been very pleased with it.I seriously looked at the Chevy but prefered the D-Max's looks and price!

I was briefly lured by the offer of the diff lock option on the Chevy but finally desided it wasn't going to get used much, if at all.It HAD to one or the other as a 30 year ex GM employee. It was their money I was spending.

jumbo...

There are always ways to modify a vehicle. For a smoother ride there are numerous varieties of shocks and springs made by auto parts suppliers. Just understand, trucks are not luxury rides, so a certain amount of "bumpiness" is part of the experience. :o

Maybe someone on here can give you a name of some place in Bangkok that specializes in modding supplies for trucks. We have them here in the US and I suspect they ship world wide but the costs would be high.
