A four-lane road linking Khon Kaen, Roi Et and Maha Sarakham to be built soon

The government plans to build a 55-km four-lane road worth 900 million baht linking Khon Kaen, Roi Et and Maha Sarakham provinces in the Northeast.

The plan was disclosed by caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra during his inspection of state projects in Maha Sarakham yesterday.

Pol. Lt. Col. Thaksin visited a sufficiency economy village in Chiang Yeun (เชียงยืน) district where he ordered authorities to help residents solve flood problems. He also said the government will develop the northeastern region and turn it into one of the country’s economic hubs.

Aside from Maha Sarakham, the prime minister also visited Khon Kaen and Roi Et yesterday.
