starve them, you will not have a pest problem if there is nothing to eat, use bleach sprayed at entry and exit points from a spray bottle that you can buy in supermarket, then thay are gone, I know this after spilling sugar on my floor after making a cup of coffee, nest morning the little search ant had found it and gone got his 100,000 friends for a feast
