Karaoke In Bangkok?

Can anyone suggest a decent karaoke bar in Bangkok that has western songs?

I went to a place recently where I sang songs with a thai girl of my choice but the price was excessive. With drinks, room rental etc it was over 1,250 baht for one hour.

If you want a VIP room, reasonable pricing can be a real problem. Nice visible places cost 800 baht/hour give or take is fairly common. Try to go down a notch in quality and you are at the type of place that like to present an outrageous bill at the end of the night with all sorts of inflated prices and extra charges. The worst clip joints are that row of them off ratchada near hollywood, but be careful everywhere.

But if you look carefully, you can find VIP rooms for around 400-600 baht all night--not per hour. Some are even free so long as you open a bottle of their featured whisky (usually black label). Computers are starting to make their way into vip rooms, even the cheap places and this tends to mean there will be a wide farang song selection.

I rarely do VIP rooms anymore; I just do the big communal rooms that have thai songs. Over time I like the atmosphere better, they are free, and I have never needed to deal with any bin gouging. It's just about impossible to spend 1000 baht for a night out at these type places. They also tend to stay open later than anything else.

The best way to find places is ask Thai's you know, but not cabbies. They'll have a good chance of knowing what's available in your area. Otherwise, almost impossible to find the good priced places since they are often hidden and far from the main roads.

Was taken to a nice place, private rooms. It was near a huge seafood restaurant, the rooms around a pool where Thais fished for giant shrimp.

Across the street was a group of restaurants, and bars, that were all Thai, I was the only Farang around.

Anyone know this place?

The food and drink to the room was good, and reasonable.

Took about 30 minutes from Nana plaza in a taxi (fairly heavy traffic)

Sounds like Ratchadaphisek, opposite soi 4, past Tescos/Fortune Town/soi 3/Chinese embassy?

Hi OP,

Can you sing?

I mean do you have a reasonable voice while singing?

If so, I know the place for you.

It has a live singer (you can sing together with her and band).

And not expensive, I pay about 4000 Bath for a botlle of Chivas and all soda's snacks and company from some girls, including some lady drinks (they just serve drinks and light siggie and escort you to toilet and give you nice cold towel).

Your song can be taped but please do not listen to it the next day.....

Oh, and by the way that is for all night starting at 21:00 untill 01:00.....

I do this once a month and have great fun!
