December 18, 201411 yr I have tried this evening to access the Gecko Books webpage but it goes to www.graceonbags and is blocked by my internet security server which warns me that it is a potentially harmful site. Has any one else had this problem or is the problem with my computer?

December 18, 201411 yr Yes, it does indeed redirect from the SERPs on link to homepage. Perhaps UG has upset Kim Jong-un

December 18, 201411 yr Author The plot thickens. I have no trouble if I type in www.geckobooks,net myself but when I Google Gecko and click there I get directed to www.graceonbags which my security system doesn't like. I think it's the Chinese, not the North Koreans, who are trying to nobble UG.

Then I tried again by Googling Gecko Books and clicking on the link. Up comes Graceonbags again. No problem if I just type in www.geckobooks. And it does not happen on any other site.
December 19, 201411 yr Popular Post No problem for me, though I much prefer going into Gecko books and browsing at their excellent collection. A real bonus for Chiang Mai.
December 19, 201411 yr Chaps, you're missing this. Typing/copying the Gecko Books URL into the address field is fine, the redirect is occurring from the Google search results page. Try this: search for Gecko Books, go down the list and click on the Gecko Books homepage link and see if it redirects. It's not a user virus problem, but likely a case of compromised hosting server, malicious code within the site or a Javascript issue, for example. You should get this checked out, UG, as people wishing to visit your site from the SERPs (Google's search results page) are being redirected to bogus ones by the looks.
December 19, 201411 yr I get the same problem, the moment i open gecko books in google then click on the right one i get redirected, below the site it sends me too, below that the original google searchget redirected.
December 19, 201411 yr Thanks guys. I'll get a hold of my computer guy and get him to check this out.
