Final week of campaigning, Now that the muds been slung and the bloods been spilt. The real poster of the year shall rise from the ashes.

Who's it gonna be?

Of course if there is more mud and blood to upcoming, that's even better. I suggest a cage match between Doubtfire and Jinger.

No way it will be, "after you my dear"......."no no my sweet you deserve it so much more"........"oh I couldn't my lovely, I'm not as worthy as you".......tee hee, you are a one, but I like you and you should have it"......."you're too kind, you're full of goodness"........"oh stop you're embarrassing me now"

Meanwhile, back at the ranch

Don't forget Mrs Doubtfire is a social worker. They dont mess around on dawn raids

As a relative newcomer to this forum I must say I find this "competition" and some of the comments in this thread rather childish and immature, but the fact that one of the candidates feels it necessary to start a dedicated thread to pathetically grovel for votes just marks him out as someone who has effectively proved himself unworthy of the title he desperately seeks due to the very nature of that offensive and very unsporting thread.

Its his Milliband moment.

Hi MustyJack. Welcome to ThaiVisa. Glad you decided to join us. In reading your post it seems you've only looked at the Pattaya forum and seen the post of my worthy opponent Jingthing.

Let me introduce myself. I'm NancyL and I started a thread in the Chiang Mai forum at the start of this contest called "Shamelessly Lobbying for Thai Visa POTY" then, after that thread drifted off to the back pages one of my many supporters started a thread called "NancyL needs and your support"

So, you see there is more than one candidate asking appealing to their home base and asking for their votes.

MustyJack, as a newcomer to Thailand, I hope you visit Chiang Mai soon. It's a wonderful place to live and especially to retire. And when you're here, be sure to stop by the Chiang Mai Expats Club and I'll buy you a buy a coffee and introduce you to all the wonderful folks. (Sorry, I'd offer to invite you to the CM Expats Ladies Lunch, another of my activities, but something tells me you'd have problems getting the medical certificate needed to join that group.)

Come on Costas and David48 supporters, your horses are out of the race, time to switch to NancyL and make sure JT doesn't win. He's insufferable as it is, winning this would lift him to a whole new level of smugness.

Careful, Jingthing may get Buzzcuddles to have his way with your leg.

May I remind you that Costas is still in the running and above the fray.

He has never held a kitten upside down, has respected the sanctity of the family, is the champion of sheep all over the world, and will improve the quality of kebabs in Thailand. What other candidate can say all that?

But, isn't he Greek? blink.png

He also abuses Badgers

Yes he is Greek, thank you for reminding me. If for no other reason the fact that he is Greek should be reason enough to vote for him, smile.png

and abusing badgers does not count, any one who knows anything knows that badgers are ferocious little animals and any one who can abuse them must be a man's man, and the kind of leader we need to lead as it to the new millennium and a bright and prosperous futureclap2.gif

I've a feeling this will get even more mercenary, once the other names have been deleted. JT has the top floor of the Oriental as his command centre (ever wondered where your taxes go?) and Nancy is buying in all the bars along Sukhumvit.

Costas must attend a badger seminar as he is presenting a keynote speech, Badgers: The way forward.

David is giving press conferences all morning then it's back to saving the world.

Don't forget yet another front runner who has been putting appeals for votes and campaign slogans on almost every post since the contest began

So you see MustyJack, probably no-one else would have followed suit, if NancyL wasn't so desperate that she needed to be the first to 'pathetically grovel' etc etc.

I was going to advise him to leave his wallet at home.

At least three of the top 4 members on the poll have been groveling for votes, since it started. I'm not sure why you feel the need to point the finger at one specifically.

If you can post a link to any unsporting vote begging threads started by the other candidates then I would be grateful and in a position to point more fingers.

Until then I stand by my post stating the unworthiness of a candidate who begs for winning votes purely on the premise that he doesn't like second place.

You just haven't been following along. Some have put pleadings for votes in their signature lines so they would ask for votes every time they posted. At least a couple have started threads for that purpose.

I thought it has all been fun and even funny. People like these people or they wouldn't have been nominated by the members. I've gotten some good chuckles out of it.

Why don't you lighten up and enjoy?

Lets face it the top four are all schmucks, David's too slimey and goody two shoes sloppy, Nancy's too nasty and has an evil pussy, Jing Thing well hes a gay cant get any worse than that surely ( according to some), and Costas well hes just Greek ( says it all) and would like to come from behind no doubt with his milking badgers.laugh.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.png

So take it all in funtongue.png

JT has gone quiet.....he's back in his pint sized palace by the baht bus route practising his moves for the award ceremony.

He will then celebrate with a baht bus lap of jomtien.

Stock market latest:

Badger pelts have gone through the roof after Costas rousing speech on Badger culling and the far reaching implications to the fragile ecosystem. Cheap Australian wine is up too, probable due to The Lanna Lady's heavy sponsorship in the past week.

The market is waiting for the withdrawal speeches from the battered candidates that never made the cut. It's a cruel world out there.
