I am American but love British TV and have tried for ages to somehow get a native version of the BBC iplayer and 4OD on my US Roku, rather than the good, but imperfect Plex plugin (no 4OD just BBC)

I have just added to my techie boxes, through some helpful British friends, a Now TV box. Its a Sky branded RokuLT with really limited apps compared to a regular Roku, but it does come loaded with BBC iplayer, 4OD and 5.

You need sign up with Sky for the Now TV service, but it comes with a 30 day free trial, and what I did was sign up then immediately cancel. After that the remaining apps are all free.

But the kicker is that the box only costs 10 British pounds (~$16)..for a Roku! It's so cheap you really can't go wrong and it makes it seamless, which Plex sometimes isn't

Output is limited to 720p, but given the overall internet speeds in Thailand and my failing eyesight ain't so bad, and again its only $16.

Hopefully this is helpful info
