Bombs Found at Building Site

A Thai worker at a building site in central Pattaya stopped for a coffee break on Tuesday and while casually contemplating the meaning of life and the cost of kao pat gai he happened to notice what appeared to be an unexploded bomb nearby.

Police were called to the site and confirmed that the item certainly looked like a bomb, probably an old grenade. They in turn called in explosives experts from the Sattahip naval base who arrived and, after failing to remove the top of the device with a wrench, expertly wrapped it in masking tape and took it back to Sattahip where it will no doubt be rendered harmless.
