Yep agreed I forgot that he refused to go on tour, not the smartest of moves , But why would he refuse to go on tour, if he'd been told he can leave? something dont quite add up.

When a player acts like a five year old nothing can possibly add up now can it?

HMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

this ones enuf 2 make ure head spinblink.pngblink.pngblink.pngblink.pngblink.pnghttp://www.metro.co....<!--NoParse6--> blink.png blink.png blink.png blink.png

Baring in mind this is the Metro shall we presume its one of their fairytales? Honestly, is there really any point quoting that comic?

There was meant to be a touch of humour in it Carmine, Hence the funny little men, But saying that Personally I love the whole football rumours thingy and always have done, but yeah it can be annoying when they are written as done deals. So u think its best we stick to the guardian, times . indie, bbc and sky from now on?

Luka Modric: Real Madrid to buy midfielder from Tottenham

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Luka Modric for a fee in the region of £30m.

The Croatia midfielder, 26, will travel to Spain on Monday for a medical before signing a five-year contract.

Tottenham also announced they are entering a partnership with Real Madrid.

The agreement will see the two clubs working together in respect of players, coaching and commercial relationships.

"Luka has been a terrific player for us and, while we preferred not to part with him, we are pleased that it is to Real Madrid, a club with which we now look forward to sharing a long and productive partnership," said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Modric joined Tottenham in 2008 in a £16.5m deal from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

He made over 150 appearances for the London club, scoring 17 goals.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez Rodriguez added: "We are delighted to welcome Luka and look forward to working closely with Tottenham in the coming years."

Initially playing as a defensive midfielder under former manager Juande Ramos, Modric was moved into a more advanced role when Harry Redknapp became manager in October 2008.

He quickly developed into an integral part of the Tottenham side before being rewarded for his performances with a new six-year contract in 2010.

Last season, he made 41 appearances for Tottenham, scoring five goals.

Spurs boss Andre-Villas Boas has already stated his intention to add to his squad before the transfer window closes on Friday.

They have made three signings this summer, with Emmanuel Adebayor moving from Manchester City for £5m, midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson joining from Hoffenheim and Jan Vertonghen signing from Ajax.

Maybe because you are so easy to wind up? Is the vein popping on the side of your head? Btw, my source in Madrid says you are only getting £22 million plus add ons. The £30 million includes massive agent fees and the add ons.

OK I've sent an email to Daniel Levy explaining I will be dropping by his office on Saturday to discuss matters.

In the email obviously I have demanded copies of the transfer deal and an outline of the add ons etc.

I'm sure we'll have this cleared up by early next week after I've had my auditors examine the documentation.

Mjj, why don't you take a day off? It really would make sense. Your latest batch of <deleted> is making it difficult for anyone to stick up for you. You are sounding as dull as the matchday Stamford Bridge atmosphere.

I think I will Carmine. The sense of humour failure on here is staggering. No wonder Spurs are called the Yids, you all just talk about money. See ya.

Well i've a theory....its only Man Yoo, Chelsea and City fans who seem obsessed in trying to prove we sold Modric cheaply. Oh, and J&D who with his Peter Ridsdale philosophy on business finance doesn't respect clubs run in a correct manner because he doesn't believe only spending what you can afford is ambitious enough. This and other such "arguements are a template for whats wrong with football in england.

Its simple chaps. Pretend what you want about the Modric sale price and stick your 250k wage cap up your arse. Not really interested in your clubs ridiculous spending sprees in the t/f windows. Its just destroying our sport.

Thats fine, and if that is your honest opinion... you are entitled to it.

Just dont start complaining halfway through the season that you didnt have enough strikers, or a young enough goalkeeper.

And at the end of the season, if you miss CL place by 1-3 points, I am firmly putting that blame on your chairman.

Problem is now, carmine, if you want any decent players, you WILL have to overpay. The other teams know you are now desperate, only 5 days before the window ends, and 30 million free cash

Well its looking like Lloris...M'Villa and a strikzr coming in....if those deals come off I'll be happy enough.

Well we'll need a good keeper this season if we don't sort out the midfield. M'Villa appears mentally unhinged and Rennes can't wait to offload him, or so it seems. Apparently we've moved on from Damiao because Internacional won't stop moving the goal posts so unless they come back to us which is unlikely then thats gone. Willian is way overpriced and not very good imo. Can't see where on earth a striker is coming from!

On a positive note, Vertoghen looks very good. Very impressed with him already.

I'm just taking that from all the rumiurs flying around carms...and with a large pot of cash available there are plenty of them!

As to the striker I can't fathom that either...but I live in hope....

Not disagreeing with you. I've read the same but just saying that Lloris is the only one i'd be "very pleased" about.

I'm in a foul mood this afternoon trying to fathom out why, if we have such a great relationship with Madrid, we didn't get Nuri Sahin in the Modric deal with a buy option next year.

I was going to ring you carms about that one, very strange !!! so i think we're agreed that we need a def mid, attacking mid, gk and a forward, i wonder how many we will get ? i just read that we offered 18m for Damiao which if true then no wonder we havn't got him, must be worth 25m.

Sooooo this dick says with add-ons it will be nearly 30 Million you get for Modders,i think you have done very well to get that.

Take your “reputable“ quotes from Sky or the BBC not <deleted> Canadian or pseudo Sun commentators.

2/10. Try harder next time!
