the pardew thing is the sticking point isn't it - the eight year contract, the derek llambias casino stories. the fans clearly want pardew out but maybe ashley has no intention of sacking him until he's paid off his poker debt?

He has clung onto that job for the last 12 months, never looks secure but as you say, there is more to it than just football.

Moyes to Newcastle or Sunderland is possible

Why would he ditch Champions League football for that lot?

Personally, I'd like Moyes to end up there. That would make my day.
Haha I think he might end up at Rangers next season.

Your hoping

I suppose one added bonus of bringing Pochettino to the club is that it should make it easier to sign a few of the Soton players, such as Lallana, Rodriguez and perhaps even Shaw depending on his relationship with the fella.

Lallana would probably go with Pochettino wouldn't he.

This is doing the rounds on FB. I nearly had a chuffing heart attack!

How did you as a knowledge of all football related information do in the Prediction League ? Or did you hide your head in the sand after AVB ????? facepalm.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

BT biggrin.png

Watched every game with a passion, never missed a minute despite extensive travels. No manager is bigger than the team or the club. Tim actually did us proud! Big shame he had to leave but appreciate no way to return to the youth job; and what a brilliant job he did with the youngsters. Thanks for the reminder on the Predictions. I owe someone some beer tokens. Mr BJ please advise.

The problem with Sherwood was that he couldn't keep his mouth shut. Worse than scrotum face which is saying something! He could be forgiven in his inexperience for some really stupid team selections because you learn by your mistakes but he was just far too cocky and outspoken for a fledgling manager on an eighteen month contract.

And seriously, do you really want an Arsenal fan managing Spurs? I don't.

I hope that Levy goes all out for Rafa Benitez. He's the one i think can get the best out of our players and manage the pressure and expectations of Daniel Levy

Well I see that saggy chops is another "wise after the eventer" should have been expected really..........

"The real culprits of Tottenham's failings last season are not Tim, Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey.

"It is whoever decided to spend or recommend spending £111m on a load of bang average players. Every single one of those deals should be scrutinised in great detail.

"There's probably a little clique of about four or five people there sorting out all the deals and haven't they done well? There should be an investigation to find out on whose say-so those deals were done, whose judgment was it to bring in a bunch of players who have not taken the team on.

"This is a sad day for Tottenham and a sad day for English football."

Of course what Redknapp doesn't mention is that his friend, Tim Sherwood, was a part of that 'clique of about four or five people' who made the decisions.

I wouldn't replace Poyet with Moyes. Madness ! Sunderland would dissolve from a spirited bunch to a legion of walking dead.

And yet a better win ratio than Another Vacancy Beckons

Not only Spurs but applies to many clubs.Lack of transparency especially in signings. Be nice if someone put there hand up and said well I bought Lamela and Soldado and it didn't work out.

Have always thought that supporters, that shell out on season tickets, merchandise and incurring other expenses have right to know who is making the decisions. Pretty sure it wasn't Sherwood but the managers are the fall guys. I have always thought that Levy is more interested in balancing the books that actually winning trophies, just a personal observation.

Levy made the comment recently that he wants attractive ,attacking football, wasn't Sherwood trying to achieve that and players didn't respond ?

Didn't help too when Defoe got shipped out. And Dembele I thought at the time he was a great signing, destroyed United in one game and now looks a pale shadow of his former self...why ?

8 managers in 13 years,on the law of averages they can't all of been duds.Too many unanswered questions.

Mancini anyone?

Houdini might be a better option.

Cos Baldini was a liability.

A. Are you saying that Baldini has left ?

B. Are you advocating Mancini as Director of Football

Only if he attract Balotelli wink.png
