^Thank you Chicog that was exactly the point I was trying to make. I read an article, by a journalist or spurs fan I forget, in which he stated that spurs raise their game for the bigger teams but take their eye of the ball for the lesser teams and having beaten City they'd probably cock it up against WBA. Guess he was right.

It's good that you read an article.

Do you have any opinions of your own?

Tottenham's season takes a spooky turn

Tottenham Hotspur have played eight Premier League matches so far this season with, freakily, the results matching exactly what they achieved in the last campaign. They have beaten Manchester City, Sunderland and Crystal Palace at home – just as they did last season – and drawn at home to Liverpool and away to Everton and West Bromwich Albion as well as beating Stoke City away. The first promoted team they faced last season were Bournemouth, who they beat away – just as the first promoted team they faced this season was Middlesbrough who they also beat away. Their next league opponents are Bournemouth again.

What in the frickin ell is Rose doing with two footed lunges on the halfway line when the ref is clearly loving his cards?

Someone will be sent off today sadly I think.

Bournemouth have done very well at keeping up the tempo and not giving us space.....its a good game but we need probably to replace Lamela who has played well before he walks.

Game on!

Lamentable and Sissoko should both be taking an early bath.

Reasonably entertaining 1st half - lost interest in the 2nd. At half time I thought Spurs (who were clearly a better class technically) would gain the upper hand. As Smokie intimates Jansen is underwhelming so far. No Kane = draw specialists. Teams finding it hard to get past you but surely this was not he same cherries that netted 6 against Hull?

Second game I have seen at least a half of Jack W playing - he doesn't inspire; couple of howling misses in the other game I watched. Still diving in and risking injury in this one.

I'm sure all of us Slurs fans share my disappointment at us not signing Messi or Ronaldo in the summer.

It was obvious what was needed and the chairman clearly took his eye off the ball.

Oops this was meant for my BB account.....ooooooopsie!

Very impressed with Bournmouth.  If the ref had correctly red carded Sissoko that could have been even more difficult.

Perhaps theres an issue with discipline that needs to be addressed.  Sometimes when teams give as good as they get against us we tend to get ruffled and over react.

Not very surprising.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been hit with a violent conduct charge after elbowing Bournemouth’s Harry Arter in an off-the-ball incident at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

The Frenchman was a substitute for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and appeared to hit out at the Republic of Ireland international during the 0-0 draw.

The referee missed the incident at the time but the FA have released a statement today to confirm that they have charged the former Newcastle United star with violent conduct and the midfielder is now facing the threat of a three-match ban.

Spurs have until 6pm on Tuesday to appeal the decision and Sissoko could miss key fixtures against Leicester City, West Ham United and Arsenal if he’s found guilty.

If they ban him at ten past six, wouldn't he miss the Liverpool game instead?

Kane and Alderweirald still out for the Liverpool game.

Anyone hoping to get a look at Marcus Edwards will be disappointed too.  He's out for 6/7 weeks with an ankle injury.

Expecting to see two young sides and some very good young prospects from both teams
