Dembele man of the match.  Totally bossed it.  Having had our blip last october/november were back on it now, full steam ahead with the added bonus that Mark Lawrenson says we won't make the top four.  If Merson backs him up the bookies will probably stop taking bets on us!!

All good really save the fact that we are not clinical enough and we will need to improve against Juve.  If Eriksen and Dembele are on form and Kane takes his chances i think we will be ok.

Has anyone else noticed how, more so than ever this season, Wenger appears to be blind to his own sides failings and blames absolutely everything that goes wrong on the officials!  The man has totally lost it, with Arsenal showing the same flaws in midfield and defense that everyone seems to see clearly except him.

i'm starting to wonder if Arsenal will even be top four challengers this season or next.  This isn't based on one game but on what appears to me to be the management of an old dog with the same flaws and no new tricks.

When are we going to see our new lad in action I wonder??

I'd imaging next weekend up north in the cup.  Just think, if Rochdale had lost he could have had his first taste of English league football courtesy of Millwall away!!!

Fans from other clubs always talk about Eriksen and his importance to Spurs, which is of course very much the case, but, the guy who is equally important and never seems to get a mention is Moussa Dembele.  Check out his stats yesterday.

97% pass accuracy

100% take ons completed

100% tackles won

1 goal attempt

8 ball recoveries

Very much the senior citizen in our side but one player we are going to miss hugely when he's physically no longer capable.  Watching Dembele yesterday really made it sink in how dog average little Jack Wilshire actually is!!!

Lol very true.

<deleted> was Sissoko doing on the bench??

Sissoko should be considering his next club!!

Or a career change!!  Apart from the incredibly useless Moussa Sissoko i think our bench is looking much stronger now and finally offering Poch some decent options.

OH MOUSA DEMBELE!

OH MOUSA DEMBELE!

This is so true, he was even better against Man utd, absolutely BOSSED the midfield, which is why yesterday Wenger put 2 DM

in PLUS Wilshere to try and stop him, but they still couldn't.

A while ago i remember watching a Dele Alli  interview when he was

asked who he thought the best player was in the spurs squad?

His answer was Dembele by far is the most skillful and hardest player

to play against.

Thats right, Dele reckons in five a side training they just can't get the ball off him.

What was the spat about between Lamela and Wilshere?

When Lamela came on he tackled Wilshere off his feet and got

a yellow for it.

When Wilshire got up you could clearly see Lamela repeatingly shouting <deleted> YOU <deleted> YOU at him.

At the final whistle one of them (not sure which one) decided

to take the matter further.

After what Wilshere did a few years ago, publicly singing anti spurs songs on their FA Cup victory bus, he deserves everything that's

given to him the Bellend Pr$ck.

Were going to miss him big time, and as promising as Winks is, he's nowhere near the player of an inform Dembele.

Yeah, Lacazette could well have equalised at the death.

Harry Kane could also have scored 4 goals more before that too.

Dele could also have scored, through on goal with the keeper.

Eriksen could also have scored from the free kick when their keeper

made a world class save.

So going by your theory the game could have ended 7-1

The fact of the matter is Arsenal were lucky it only ended 1-0

and didn't get subjected to a total embarrassment of a scoreline.

but the bottom line is that you never scored and kane came to the rescue again.in scoring the winning goal again.tbh one cannot excuse those misses last nite.  in my view spuds were extremely lucky to win.as they did not close the gate.as there scoring chances were truly wasted   again a very piss poor performance.but three vital pionts in the bag

Telegraph reports Alderweireld is not due to travel to Turin for Tottenham Hotspur’s biggest game of the season against Juventus...He is yet to agree to agree a new contract and his current deal contains a one-year extension option, which is scheduled to activate in the summer of 2019 and would see him contracted to 2020. But it also features a £25million release clause that could be activated in the summer of 2019, as long as a transfer was completed at least 14 days before the closure of the window.Alderweireld is unlikely to be happy at being left out of the traveling squad for the Juventus game and it remains to be seen whether or not the decision impacts on his contract talks.

Worried? He'll be a bargain buy for us at £25million.

To be honest spuds have been very shrewd with recent purchases aurier and moura from PSG. Both players signed for less than 50m combined is extremely good business in the current climate.

If he's not deemed 100% CL match fit then why break up a defense thats just cope so admirably against three of the top six?  And lets face it, if you are not completely up to pace CL level of football is going to find you out double quick.  Its so premature to talk about his new contract i really can't be bothered.

(Honestly, likes of R2D2, BB and the forums very own Ernest Hemingway have been salivating about us losing all our players for so long now it would almost be a mercy for all of us if someone finally did ask to leave!)

Back to football,  if Poch wants to go three at the back he can just bring in Dier and use Wanyama and Dembele as the pivot, so there really is no need to risk him being thrown in at the highest level is there!!

I can just see it now, Harry leaves when he is approx 35 and all the usual suspect's come out with " there are, we told you he would leave " :cheesy:

The suggestion that we would leave out our best defender on the basis he hasn't agreed a new contract is bizarre.

But these clowns can make anything up of course. :post-4641-1156694572:
