Where can I get Borax?

Today I had to chase about 387,183 ants out of my keyboard. I am really fed up with those little s*ckers and a search on google revealed this:

See topic title... I really want to get rid of them, especially on my desk.

In my experience, boric acid is more effective, and non-toxic to pets.  Boric acid can be found in swimming pool supply stores.

And does a good job of keeping snakes away. I am also interested in buying some, since I shall be staying in "close to nature" type of places often during by thailand trip.
